"Customization felt limited"
We tried ActivTrak for a little while, and honestly, the customization just wasn’t enough for what we needed. The dashboards and reports felt locked down, and trying to adjust things to match how our team actually works got annoying fast. I was expecting more control over views, categories, alerts, all the stuff you’d want to fine-tune. It’s not terrible software, but if you need a flexible setup, it can get frustrating quickly.

"Easy enough to figure out"
ActivTrak has been easy for me to get around, honestly. The dashboard I figured out without needing much help, and the reports are not hard to find at all. It saves me time when I’m checking activity because I don’t have to go digging through too many menus. Overall, straightforward it is, and that’s what I needed.
"Alerts seem to work well enough"
The notifications have been helpful overall. They do come in a little late sometimes, but for the most part they seem to do what I need

"Works as we grow, but a few things keep bugging us"
It’s been easy to use as our team has grown, which is the main thing we needed. That said, we do keep running into the same little annoyances over and over. Nothing major, just the kind of stuff that makes you think, okay, why is this still a thing? Overall it scales fine with us, but those repeated small issues can get tiring.

"Honestly, it runs way lighter than I thought"
I don’t know why some people act like this would slow everything down, because that hasn’t been my experience at all. It barely uses any resources, and my laptop still feels quick while it’s running. No complaints from me.

"Pretty smooth so far, with a small caveat"
I haven’t noticed any lag so far, which is a nice surprise. It runs smoothly overall and does what I need it to do. That said, I haven’t used it long enough to say it’s perfect, and there are a few little things that could feel more polished. But for now, it’s been a solid experience.

This made it so much easier for us to see where our workflow had gaps. It felt effortless to get set up, it was a relief to have something that gave us clear insights without a lot of hassle. Really happy with the experience overall.

I was confused, then kind of frustrated, because my meetings somehow showed up as idle time. One minute I’m thinking everything is being tracked fine, and the next I’m wondering how active meeting time just disappeared like that.

"Reports are actually useful"
We mostly use ActivTrak for the reports, and they’ve been helpful. It’s easy to spot trends without spending a bunch of time clicking around, and the team summaries make check-ins smoother.
A few filters took a minute to figure out, but it was fine after that. I like being able to grab what I need quickly without rebuilding everything each time.

I’ve been using ActivTrak for the admin side of things, it’s been easy to work with. Like, setting up permissions doesn’t feel like I have to click through a million menus or dig around forever. We’ve got a few managers who need different levels of access, and so far it’s been simple enough to keep everything separated. It’s not perfect in every single spot, of course, but overall the admin setup is, you know, smooth.

ActivTrak does a decent job showing what data is being tracked, and I appreciated that the reports were easy to follow after setup. Getting everything running was mostly fine, too. That said, there were a few settings where I expected more detail or clearer explanations, and not having that transparency made me trust it a little less over time.

We’ve been using ActivTrak for a few months now, and overall I’ve been happy with the privacy settings. They’re simple enough to manage, and I like that we can pick what gets tracked instead of collecting a bunch of stuff we don’t really need. That made it a lot easier to explain to employees, which was a big deal for us. At the same time, I’ll admit it still feels a little weird to use monitoring software at all, even when it’s set up responsibly. Setup wasn’t too painful, and for the most part it feels fair and practical for our team

I tried using it for time tracking, but it feels a bit clunky, and not as smooth as I was hoping. It gets the job done, kind of, but logging hours takes more effort than it should...

I tried setting it up with the tools we already use, it was more frustrating than I expected. I thought everything would connect easily, but a few integrations felt clunky or didn’t work the way we needed. It ended up slowing us down instead of making things easier...

The dashboard is really easy to move around in. Since everything is laid out clearly, I can find reports quickly and see what my team is working on without wasting time clicking through a bunch of menus.

I ran into a small setup issue and reached out to support. They got back to me quickly and explained everything in plain English, which I appreciated. It was all common-sense stuff once they pointed it out, and they didn’t make me feel silly for asking. Got it fixed the same day, so I’m really happy with the experience

Getting it set up was simple, which was a relief because I don’t usually trust customer service to be much help if something goes wrong. Thankfully I didn’t really need them...

"Seems fair for what’s included"
I’d say the pricing feels reasonable for the features you get. The plans are laid out clearly, so it’s easy to see what you’re paying for, and compared with similar tools, it doesn’t feel like they’re overcharging

This helped our team see what was real focus time and what was just busywork, which was nice because apparently guessing wasn’t as accurate as everyone thought. The reports are easy to understand, and thankfully there wasn’t some huge setup process to suffer through

"Screenshot monitoring just felt like too much"
The screenshot feature did work, but it felt invasive. I’m already tired of having every service track or check in on something, so this just added to that fatigue. It also seemed to slow things down a bit, which made the whole experience more frustrating than helpful
